Greetings and good morning to you! I'm thrilled you're here at my blog. Please allow me to introduce a charming baby boy who recently visited my studio. J came to see me when he was around 9 days old. He slept beautifully for me and I could not help but be in awe of how precious his sweet little face is. When booking, his mama requested I style the session so it is timeless, classic, simple and sweet. This in mind, I kept the color scheme very neutral and pulled inspiration from all things soft and organic, such as white, cream and a little bit of grey. I even added a muted baby blue and very light brown with tan textures in order to add a tiny bit of pop to the portraits. 

During my time with J, he loved to be wrapped. This makes baby feel safe, secure and helps them sleep during the posing. My studio is also kept at 77 degrees or so. This mimicks the environbemnt of the womb. A full belly, lots of white noise and a warm room are the key to an adorable newborn session.

Those little toes, fingers and his nose - so small yet perfect.

Don't you think the blue looks lovely on him? This hand knitted bonnet is made by one of my favorite vendors in Italy. She has precious creations that are perfect for your sessions. I adore using her props and designs.

And of course, here are my favorite family images. All collections do include family, parent and sibling images if you'd like to do so. J is the first little one so sibling was not applicable though we did focus on images of dad with baby, mom with baby, and of course this beautiful couple together. While getting in front of the camera may feel a little intimidating, please know I am here to guide you with outfit advice, plenty of positive praise during our posing and of course I make sure you feel comfortable being we begin the photo process.

Good afternoon everyone and happy Monday! Today has been great! I've had a few precious newborn babies in my studio, ordered prints, packaged up products, and now I'm settling into my desk for some editing and of course an updated blog. You see, as a photographer, I specialize in the custom art of newborn baby photography. This means I take nearly exclusively newborn sessions so that each baby may have all the attention to detail he or she deserves. My sessions all custom in nature which means I strive to provide unique props, set ups, poses, and a gorgeous gallery of baby portraits you're sure to love. The investment is one you'll never regret making. 

Today's baby who's beautiful face graces my blog is a handsome little fellow named Jax. The session also includes high resolution digital files & some gorgeous heirloom products so you're sure to have stunning fine art prints plus some awesome images to share with loved ones, plus print yourself. 

When Baby Jax came to my studio, he was just under 3 weeks old and about 7 pounds. He slept wonderfully for me and I barely even saw his beautiful eyes! His lashes and sweet cheeks had me oooohing and gushing over him! I adore each and every baby who comes to my studio and I cannot wait to work with each family! I cannot express how much I love newborn photography. That's partly why I specialize in babies: families, especially new parents, deserve a newborn experience in which the photographer is in absolute love with the genre their documenting. For me, that great love is newborns.

Dapper Little Dude's First Professional Photos | Newborn Photography

A brand new baby. As a Houston Newborn Photographer, this makes my heart soar. Photographing the most tiny of clients is truly a joy. The details, styling, and spending the morning  cuddling a sweet little baby is one of my favorite aspects of baby photography. The customized sessions cater to parents seeking a variety of colors, poses, and props. For example, for this cherub's session, we used navy blue, tan, grey and cream. I provide everything you need, except the baby. This includes vintage floor props such as buckets, bowls, or crates. I also provide the wooden floors you see and backdrops to ensure the final product is coheisve with the work you see in my portfolio. I also have a vast array of bonnets, headbands, and organic wraps to adorn you baby's face. While props are minimal, such as the set ups seen here, they are also classic. 40 years from now you want the images to still have timeless yet soulful feeling.

For my time with baby boy, he loved to be wrapped! The wrapping is pretty nifty because it reminds you baby of being in the womb; it helps them "curl" up and feel safe during our session. For 9 months, your baby grew in your belly, so this reminds them of all that they know. A warm room and full tummy makes baby happy, too! This little guy did make me work, though I am very happy with his portraits as they're vintage, rustic, and the light fills his face to highlight his chubby cheeks, button nose, and little lashes.

For the family portion of his newborn session, his parents chose to not participate, so our focus was sibling with baby. While I do include family images in all of my collections I offer, I also understand sometimes parents may not feel photo ready. No worries! That just means more newborn portraits for you. Regardless, I do encourage sibling shots at the very least. Big Brother simply stole my heart! During the session, he sat with me while I posed little brother; he told me all about his teachers at pre-school and we sang some fun songs together, like "The Wheels on the Bus," haha! Big sister told me all about her soccer games and how her team won a game that past weekend. Meeting these sweet children was truly an honor and my heart melted while working with them. The innocence of them is simply pure.
