Fresh, Pure and Gorgeous Newborn Photography in the Greater Houston Area | Welcome Baby Girl

Howdy! Happy Monday to you! I've just finished up a super adorable studio session, so I am at my desk working on edits, contracts, e-mails and of course a blog post showcasing one of the sweetest little ladies I've had in front of my camera! So, if this your first time here you should know my name is Sarah and I'm located in beautiful Houston TX. Yes: that's right - Texas can be pretty in it's own way, haha! My studio is located specifically in the NW area. This is where I photograph all things newborn and it makes my soul sing! Working with my most petite clients is an absolute joy! 

For today's session, I featuring a few of my favorite images from Baby L's full newborn session. Full newborn sessions are a great option for parents who are seeking a little bit of everything from classic and vintage inspired floor props, stunning wrapping of your little cherub, up close macro details of their precious features, and of course sweet, organic and curly posing of them as they're adorned in adorable bonnets and tieback headbands. 

Precious baby L came for a posed newborn session when she was 9 days new and about 6 pounds. 

While I normally use a lot of jewel tones or perhaps richer, vibrant colors, this sweet mama truly wanted a soft, feminine and dainty portrait session reflecting muted pastel tones and even some amazing fresh florals! I have to admit: there's something novel in the idea of a new baby wearing fresh flowers as an adorable crown. I pulled inspiration from my many props and decided on rose pink, cream, ivory, mint, sea foam and antique floor props, seen above.

Being held in Dad's arms is ever so cozy! I like these two poses because they're masculine, yet also tender. They'll always remind you of the time in which baby was so fresh, new and petite that she fit perfectly in your hands. So sweet. 

With this beautiful mama, I posed her so that baby feels close and she can be connected with little one.

Vibrant Baby Photography in Houston

Howdy, friends! I'm super excited you're here on the blog today! This is where I share the top images from the newborn, maternity and family sessions I have the honor of documenting! Today's posed newborn session features a darling baby girl. She came to my studio, located in Houston, when she was 7 days fresh and new. 

Her session features some of my favorite colors for little girls such as a vibrant teal, turquoise, maroon, and even a daring mustard! One of my favorite aspects of all your sessions is that everything is provided by me so you simply show up.

Before booking, her sweet parents came to my office to chat in person. We talked about colors, props and ideas for their session. They were the perfect fit so I truly looked forward to seeing them again. Newborn sessions do take place in the first 14 days of life, so I recommend coming in while you're still pregnant to ensure availability. The following are my favorite images from my time with them. They did see 44, so it was a great gallery, but I am just going to show you a handful today. :-) 

Sweet baby girl loved to be wrapped! During my time with her, she even snored a little bit since she was so cozy! These colors look amazing on her! Color is vibrant and soulful; my vintage inspired newborn sessions use classic pieces such as antique props in order to preserve a timeless collection for you. I like green and blue because they're different: unique color schemes set your images apart. And while each newborn photographer has their own point of view on styling, I proudly offer a huge array of colors, bonnets, hats, and more just for you.

For their floor props, mom requested the vintage cradle and antique wooden bucket for her session. These are popular and some of my favorites to use! They typically fit every baby who is anywhere from 5 to 10 pounds!

Howdy, friends! Thanks for stopping by. If you follow my portraiture work, you may know I specialize in posed newborn photography. While there are many different styles of baby photos, I really enjoy soulful color schemes and truly vibrant  lighting. This makes your session super special and allows me to show how I see newborns; they deserve to be preserved in the most lovely of ways. This in mind, I offer three collections for parents to peruse. They cater to different budgets. There is a wrapped mini, petite or full. All collections do come with high resolution digital files and of course some nifty heirloom prints since it's important you walk away with a tangible professional product.

Baby boy Banks came to my studio when he was around 2 weeks old. As soon as his mama carried him in, he was sleeping so soundly I almost did not want to wake him! Mom let me help her feed him and get him out of his carrier; holding him close to my chest, I could not help but marvel at what a beautiful baby he is. So sweet, snuggly, and loved to be held. I could have hung out with him all day!

For his session, I used a color scheme reflecting teal, navy blue and grey. His wrapped mini collections also features two floor props and a few different styles of wrapping plus macro images. Here are just a few of my favorite images from his session. Hope you enjoy!

"I live in Cypress, Texas and started my search for the best newborn/child photographer in the area. I came across Sarah's work and immediately fell in love. From my first contact with her up until I received my photos- she was extremely professional and organized.

When the kids and I arrived at her studio (which was extremely nice btw) she had a written plan for our session. I could also tell how passionate she was about her work.
