"Giggles, curls, ribbons and bows
She is so adorable from head to toe" - Author Unknown
Thanks for stopping by the ‘ol blog on this gorgeous Wednesday morning! Today, I am presenting Miss A to you. She is the latest squishy newborn girl behind my camera. Isn’t she beautiful? When Mom introduced me to her, I felt my heart melting as I gazed upon her features; cupid lips, a button nose, soft skin, and tufts of hair. Her parents are in absolute love and rightfully so! There’s something magical about a newborn session: the freshness and newness of it all. The following are my personal favorite highlights from A’s newborn photography session.
As you can see, we began with a lovely pink to highlight the softness and stillness of a new baby. We also utilized a flower crown. This is simplicity and baby led posing. After this set up, I opted for a gorgeous mint fabric, too! This is so the colors best match baby's nursery and the home.
I usually start the newborn sessions with bean bag posing, which you see above. After this, I move baby to a floor prop, such as a basket, bucket, or perhaps a bowl. I love curling baby up, just how they are in mom's tummy. I try to make the most of each and every set up; this is so baby is kept as comfortable as possible and we do not have to move her too much.
I adore the styling here. The soft, neutral tones add to the sweetness of a new baby and allow baby to be the star, all while cocooning her in wraps of warmth and softness. The textures are perfect for the style in which I photograph newborns, too.
During your session, the macro shots are always given plenty of time. You spent months growing your little love; I'm sure you spent countless hours dreaming of her face, thinking of how he smile will fill your heart. You imagines touching her toes, her hands reaching for her, her head upon your chest; her eyelashes and toenails and breathing. Here are those details - everything you dreamed of in a tangible form you may treasure and gaze upon for years to come.
